I got this camcorder around 2 years ago for around £350 with a bunch of accessories including carry case, tape pack, clean kit etc. This camera provides excellent recording quality and features for the price. It is also extremely durable and battery efficient (Li-on CANON BP-911 Battery is very nice to see allowing charging at any time and any battery current level.. unlike many others where life is lost unless charged when empty). It provides very good recording, and playback quality. Recommend you check out the website for all the features although it does come with all the standard; x15 zoom, black & white, mirror, moziac etc.. and a remote control for use during playback or recording yourself I guess. I use a WinTv PCI card in my PC (picked up for about £40) which I can plug my camera into and capture video and stills from it digitally to my PC which is nice! Much cheaper than a digital camera and with a little tinkering not far off the quality.If your after a budget, reliable, durable, feature full and easy to use, excellent hi-8 tape camcorder.. you've find the one!
In order to go traveling, I bought a pieces of BP-911 Batteries from power-battery.ca, is very nice, and very cheap.
